Bruno SICILIANO

He is Professor of Control and Robotics, and Director of the PRISMA Lab in the Department of Computer and Systems Engineering at University of Naples. His research interests include: identification and adaptive control, impedance and force control, visual tracking and servoing, redundant and cooperative manipulators, lightweight flexible arms, space robots, human-centered and service robotics. He has co-authored 7 books, and 70 journal papers; his book Robotics: Modeling, Planning and Control is one of the most widely adopted textbooks world-wide. He is a Fellow of IEEE, ASME and IFAC . He is Co-Editor of the Springer Tracts in Advanced Robotics series. He co-edited the Springer Handbook of Robotics, which recently received the PROSE Award for Excellence in Physical Sciences & Mathematics and was also the winner in the category Engineering & Technology. He has served the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society as Vice-President for Technical Activities and Vice-President for Publications, as a member of the AdCom, and as a Distinguished Lecturer. Currently he is the Society Past-President.

Luigi VILLANI

He is Associate Professor at the Department of Computer and Systems Engineering. His research interests include force/motion control of manipulators, cooperative robot manipulation, underwater robotics, adaptive and nonlinear control of mechanical systems, visual servoing, fault diagnosis and fault tolerance for dynamical systems. He has published more than 100 journal and conference papers.

Vincenzo LIPPIELLO

He is an assistant professor at the Department of Computer and Systems Engineering of the University of Naples Federico II. His research interests include visual tracking and servoing, 3D object representation and grasping, and visual-force control.
